Hoshiarpur- An important meeting was held today at the District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain regarding the preparations for welcoming the Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the 350th year of the unparalleled martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Officers of various departments were present in the meeting, while SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik was specially present.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this Nagar Kirtan, which started from Srinagar, will enter the border of Hoshiarpur district through Pathankot on November 21. It will reach Gurdwara Khera via Mukerian and Dasuha Marg. It is scheduled to stay here overnight. The next day, on November 22, the Nagar Kirtan will reach Hoshiarpur city via Bhunga and Haryana, where it will be given a grand guard of honour by the district administration.
After this, the Nagar Kirtan will proceed towards Sri Anandpur Sahib via Chabbewal, Mahilpur, Saila Khurd and Garhshankar. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain directed the officials to ensure proper arrangements for sanitation, langar service, drinking water, flower showering and other facilities along the entire route of the Nagar Kirtan, so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.
She directed the SDMs and DSPs to organize coordination meetings with the Municipal Councils, Gurudwara Management Committees, Market Associations, Sarpanches and other dignitaries and thoroughly review all the arrangements and inform the Deputy Commissioner's office.
