Haroli/Una, July 15 (Rajveer Chopra): A speech competition was successfully organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Dharmpur (District Una), to mark World Youth Skills Day. The objective of the competition was to raise awareness about skill development among students, boost their self-confidence, and encourage effective expression and leadership qualities.
During the competition, students eloquently presented their views on contemporary topics such as skill development, self-reliance, innovation, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment. The participants impressed the audience by demonstrating their knowledge, reasoning abilities, and excellent oratory skills. They also emphasized the need for continuous learning and the adoption of new skills to keep pace with changing times.
On this occasion, students were informed that in today's competitive era, academic achievements alone are not enough; practical skills—such as communication, creative thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical proficiency—are also crucial for success.
The school management stated that such competitions foster personality development and self-confidence in students while strengthening their ability to express their views effectively on a public platform.
