Una, May 22- As per the instructions of the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, special Lok Adalats are being organized on July 18 and November 21 in the court premises of District Una and Sub-Division Amb for speedy disposal of cases especially related to check dishonor under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
Giving this information, Shikha Lakhanpal, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Una, said that these cases of financial nature can be effectively resolved through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms like Lok Adalat as they are negotiable. This will save both time and money along with speedy justice to the concerned parties. He has urged the concerned parties to take advantage of these Lok Adalats to ensure settlement of their cases in a mutually agreeable and amicable environment.
The Secretary said that Lok Adalats are an important initiative in the direction of making the justice system simple, accessible and beneficial to the public, through which prompt resolution of pending cases is being promoted.
