Chandigarh, June 23:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is not just a religious text, but a priceless heritage that gives the right direction to human life. The message of Karma Yoga given by Lord Shri Krishna on the holy land of Kurukshetra is still a source of inspiration for the entire humanity. The Gita shows us the path of responsibility, self-confidence, patience and human welfare.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people present at the closing ceremony of the International Gita Mahotsav organized in Japan today through a video message from Chandigarh.
Shri Naib Singh Saini further said that today when the world is facing many challenges and tensions, the message of the Gita inspires peace, harmony and positive thinking. This is the reason why the message of the Gita is working to connect people all over the world.
He said that the International Gita Mahotsav, which started from Kurukshetra, has today reached many countries of the world. He said that the relations between India and Japan have always been strong. Especially, the economic and cultural cooperation between Haryana and Japan is continuously increasing, which is a symbol of our deep friendship.
The Chief Minister congratulated the organizers for the success of this event and said that he fully hopes that this divine message of the Gita will continue to pave the way for peace, harmony and human welfare in the whole world.
On this occasion, Venerable Swami Gyanananda Maharaj in Japan, Consul General of India in Osaka Shri Chandru Appar, Member Secretary of Kurukshetra Development Board Dr. Amit Agarwal, Honorary Secretary Upendra Singhal, Authority Member Shri Vijay Narula, members of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, ISKCON, Gita Parivar workers were also present.
