Chandigarh - Shri Vishwakarma Sabha (Registered) celebrated Shri Vishwakarma Puja Day with devotion and pomp in Pind Palasaura, UT Chandigarh, attended by thousands of devotees. Chief Guest Sardar Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, was the chief guest. Special guests included Mr. Anil Dubey (former Deputy Mayor), Mr. Darshan Garg, Mr. Daljit Lambardar, Mr. Balveer Chand, and Mr. Mandeep Singh Dhiman.
After performing a morning havan, devotees visited and worshipped Lord Vishwakarma. A langar of tea and bread pakoras was arranged for the devotees. Vars were sung by Dhaadi groups in the stead of Shri Vishwakarma.
Artists like Hushiyaar Mahi, Raman Saggu, Lakhvir Lakha, Jaspreet Jassi, Miss Ranjana, Baldev Kakri, Harinder Har, Divya Jugni praised Baba Ji through religious and cultural songs. In the afternoon, specially prepared langar was distributed among the Sangat. The Mahila Kirtan Mandali enthralled the Sangat by organising a special programme. On this special occasion, Pradhan Dilbag Singh, Vice Pradhan Bhajan Lal, Secretary Mulkh Raj, Chairman Ashok Kumar, Cashier Om Prakash, Executive Members Surjeet Ram, Channan Ram, Kulwant Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Jaswinder Kumar were present.
