London, UK, 14 August 2025- Former Chairman Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes (SC Commission), BJP Punjab Vice President, All India President British Ravidasiya Heritage Foundation and Chief Patron of Pathway Global Alliance Shri Rajesh Bagha Ji is currently on a special visit to the United Kingdom to take stock of the grand and spiritual preparations for the 650th Parkash Purb (2027) of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
During this visit, Shri Rajesh Bagha met the High Commissioner of India, V. Doreswamy, along with prominent leaders of the Ravidasiya community from across the UK, in which Shri Rajesh Bagha Ji was also specially present. On this occasion, detailed discussions were held on the modalities for celebrating the Parkash Purb of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji globally in 2027 in both India and the United Kingdom.
On this occasion, Shri Rajesh Bagha said that Blessed be Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, the great leader, Guru and social reformer of the 15th century and all the followers of Shri Guru Ravidas Namleva, who gave the message of ‘Begampura’ – an ideal society where there is no discrimination, poverty or suffering.
His verses, which are recorded in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, inspire us to follow the path of truth, love and equality. The global celebration of his 650th Parkash Purb in 2027 will be a golden opportunity to illuminate our spiritual heritage before the world.
It is worth mentioning that Shri Rajesh Bagha Ji, who has been active in social, cultural and political fields for a long time, is known for his efforts to preserve the rights and heritage of the Ravidassia community. As the former Chairman of the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes (SC Commission), he took important steps for the protection of social justice and rights.
His recent role as the All India President of the British Ravidassia Heritage Foundation (UK) and the Chief Patron of the Pathway Global Alliance is central to connecting, preserving and advancing the Ravidassia heritage across the world.

Prepared a draft of the initial plan for the 650th Parkash Purb celebrations, which recommended including a world-class summit, religious kirtan, cultural exhibitions and a special educational programme for the youth.

A joint steering committee will be formed to prepare the events in both the UK and India, which will include prominent religious, social and political leaders from both the countries.
