Garhshankar, November 17 - Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Football Club Garhshankar kicked off its 16th football tournament and interstate athletic meet today at Olympian Sardar Jarnail Singh Stadium, Government Senior Secondary School, Garhshankar. BJP Halqa Incharge Nimisha Mehta was the chief guest on this occasion and inaugurated the tournament.
On this occasion, Club President Advocate Jasvir Singh Rai informed in the presence of club members that village level football teams and academies will participate in this football tournament being organized under the supervision of Jhalman Singh Bains UK. He informed that the final matches of football will be held on November 21 and the winning teams will be honored with grand cash prizes and trophies by the club.
Advocate Jasvir Singh Rai said that on November 21, Shaheed Bhagat Singh's nephew Kiranjit Singh Sandhu and Manjit Kaur Sandhu will specially attend and the prizes will be distributed by Member of Parliament Malwinder Singh Kang. On this occasion, the club also honored eminent personalities.
