Fateabad, March 2: Addressing devotees at the SS Jain Sabha in Thakar Basti on the occasion of the 'Holi-Chaturmasi Mahaparva', the profound scholar of the Agamas, Yogiraj, and the most revered Gurudev Shri Arunchandra Ji Maharaj delivered the message of life improvement and spiritual purification. A large number of devotees were present on this occasion.
In his discourse, Guru Maharaj stated that the festival of Chaturmasi is special for those who are vegetarians and who wish to free themselves from evil by doing good for themselves. He said that this festival, which comes every four months, is a day for introspection. On this day, we should assess what we have gained and lost spiritually over the past four months.
He said that this is not about the gain of wealth, but rather, what is important to know is how many knots of vices have been reduced within us. Taking stock of whether they have increased or decreased from before is the true Chaturmas. Delivering a sweet message for the festival of Holi, Gurudev said, "Holi is Holi," meaning forgetting the past and making a fresh start today. One should lighten the mind by putting aside past matters.
He urged everyone to apologize from the heart today to those with whom they have disagreements and disagreements, and to fearlessly say, "I am very sorry." While offering guidance on how to celebrate Holi, Gurudev emphasized two key points: "If there is water, there is tomorrow." He said, "Don't waste water and celebrate the festival by applying tilak with dry colors (gulal). Consumption of intoxicants is detrimental to health.
When celebrating the festival, take care of your health and celebrate "pure Holi" by staying completely away from intoxicants. At the end of the discourse, Gurudev blessed everyone to celebrate the festival in a simple manner, with love and brotherhood.
