Nawanshahr:- A seminar was organized on the occasion of the Pre-Nirvana Day of Dr. BR Ambedkar Sahib Ji at the Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims, Nawanshahr. The event was presided over by Sardar Chaman Singh (Project Director). First of all, all the staff offered floral tributes to Babasaheb Ji and started the event with the slogan of Jai Bhim Jai Bharat.
On this occasion, Chaman Singh Ji shed light on the life of Babasaheb and his struggle. Dr. BR Ambedkar Ji was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. He dedicated his life to uplifting the living standards of Dalits, women and workers. Who had to face social discrimination.
He proposed revolutionary measures to empower the downtrodden, including reservation in education, employment and politics. As a social reformer, he started the newspaper Moonnayak (Leader of Silence) to raise the voice of the downtrodden. He fought to spread education, improve economic conditions and remove social inequalities.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's contribution to the making of modern India goes far beyond his role as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. He envisioned a nation that would not only uphold political democracy but also achieve social and economic justice. His profound intellect and vision influenced the main economic and social structures. Due to which he became an essential force in shaping the governance and development of independent India.
He said that if we follow his thinking, our country will be prosperous and developed as a whole. Baba saheb also became the first Law Minister. In the end, he said that we should follow the path shown by Baba Saheb Ji. Only then can our country's democracy survive and we can progress.
On this occasion, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Councilor Nane also discussed the life of Baba Saheb and offered floral tributes. Kamaljit Kaur, Dinesh Kumar, Kamla Rani, Parveen Kumari, Manjot, Komalpreet Kaur and Marij were present on this occasion.
