Garhshankar:- Punjab Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said that the commission is forming teams of 25 volunteers in every district, tehsil and village of the state so that the grievances of people belonging to the Scheduled Caste category can be expedited. He was addressing the media after paying obeisance at the holy places located at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi and the birth anniversary of the architect of the Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, today.
He respectfully paid homage at the Ganga Sthal where Sri Charan Chhoh was touched and Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's penance place Sri Khuralgarh Sahib and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state. Addressing reporters, Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said that Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji gave the message of humanity, equality and brotherhood by performing penance on this holy land for about 4 years, 2 months and 11 days.
His teachings still inspire the society to rise above class and discrimination and live united. Jasvir Singh Garhi said that the festival of Baisakhi is an important symbol of the cultural and religious heritage of our country and especially Punjab. Recalling the contribution of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, he said that the Constitution has provided equal rights to every citizen of the country and has laid a strong foundation of social justice.
This day inspires us to adopt the values ??of equality, rights and social justice. He further said that the teachings of the Gurus and the thoughts of Babasaheb Ambedkar inspire society to follow the path of equality, brotherhood and humanity, which are very important to adopt in our lives.
