Mohali:- Punjab Mandi Board Employees Union convened a meeting today on 08.10.2025 at Punjab Mandi Bhawan, Sector-65-A, SAS Nagar (Mohali). On this occasion, the President of the Employees Union, Mr. Surinder Singh and General Secretary, Mr. Mukesh Kumar welcomed all the employees.
The main issue in this meeting was not to transfer the new modern fruit and vegetable market Phase-11, Mohali to PUDA. All the employees strongly opposed the transfer of the new fruit and vegetable market Phase-11, Mohali to PUDA, because this land was acquired with the money of Punjab Mandi Board and at present its owner is also Punjab Mandi Board.
On this occasion, it was agreed by all the employees that no employee/officer should be deployed on contract/outsource in any way after retirement and if this is done, the employees will strongly oppose it. It was also agreed to refund the one day's salary that has been deducted without the consent of all the officers/employees and despite the opposition of the union.
It was decided to immediately release the dues due to the employees and whatever is due to the retired employees upon retirement. All the employees gave full support to the union regarding the issues raised in this meeting.
This meeting was attended by Mr. Surinder Singh President, Mr. Mukesh Kumar General Secretary, Mr. Harish Prasad Press Secretary, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Cashier, Mr. Gurjit Singh Joint Secretary, Mrs. Karanjit Kaur Joint Secretary Punjab Mandi Board Employees Union and a large number of all the employees.
