Hoshiarpur:- As part of a series of events dedicated to the upcoming 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, a special van was flagged off today to show a documentary based on the life of Guru Ji in the villages of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency.
On this occasion, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government will celebrate the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji with historical, devotion and full pomp.
While flagging off the documentary van, Cabinet Minister Dr. In the presence of Ravjot Singh, MLA Jimpa said that this specially prepared documentary van will make people aware of the life, philosophy and great teachings of Guru Ji, so that maximum people can get inspired by Guru Ji’s message of a non-discriminatory and equal society.
He said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully committed to respect every religion. He said that the government had earlier got the opportunity to celebrate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on a grand scale and now it is also a great privilege to celebrate the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji gave the message of equality for all sections of society and the concept of Begampura for the good of the entire humanity, where no person faces any pain or suffering.
He said that on the first day, this documentary will be shown in villages Jahankhel and Adamwal. He said that this van will reach every village of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency and a documentary of about 30 minutes will be shown daily.
He said that this van will go to two villages every evening and show the people a documentary based on the life and teachings of Guru Ji.
MLA Jimpa thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and said that the series of year-long events dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji is a very commendable initiative. He said that the Punjab government has kept a budget of Rs 100 crore for this work.
He appealed to the people to definitely watch this excellent documentary based on the life and teachings of Guru Ji and get inspiration from it.
