Mohali: 19-year-old Priyanshu Gupta from the Tricity passed both groups of the CA Intermediate exam in his first attempt. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) yesterday announced the results of the exams, which were held in September this year. Priyanshu, a resident of Mohali, is among the top five candidates from Chandigarh. A bright student since his school days, Priyanshu missed out on a spot in the top 50 candidates in the All India Rank List by just a few marks.
Sharing his thoughts, Priyanshu said, "I am very happy that I am halfway to my dream of becoming a CA. I draw inspiration from my father and brother, who have always guided me with their hard work and dedication. I want to fulfill my dream soon for my parents and family."
Priyanshu's mother, Mrs. Sadhna Gupta, is a homemaker, while his father, Mr. L.C. Gupta, has been a qualified Chartered Accountant since 1997 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the IPL franchise Punjab Kings. Last year, Priyanshu's elder brother, Prakhar, passed both groups of the CA Final exam in his first attempt at the age of just 23.
Sharing his joy, Mr. L.C. Gupta said, "I am extremely proud to see my son getting closer to his dream. This is the result of his tireless hard work and determination. Last year, when my elder son fulfilled his dream of becoming a CA, it was a proud moment for me. Now, when my younger son will also become a CA in a few years, my dream will be fully realized."
