Hoshiarpur: Preparations are in full swing for the annual fair organized at the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Township to mark the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Providing details, BBMB Chief Engineer Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta stated that the BBMB administration is ensuring all possible support and necessary arrangements to make this significant event a success.
He mentioned that comprehensive arrangements are being made to ensure that devotees and visitors do not face any inconvenience. BBMB will set up a help desk at the fair. Additionally, an ambulance and a fire tender will be stationed at the venue to handle any emergency situations.
Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta noted that the people of Talwara and the surrounding areas eagerly await this annual fair held on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. This year, several new attractions have been added for public entertainment, including a 'Jalpari' (mermaid) exhibit, hot air balloons, a larger number of amusement rides, and various thrilling and adventurous activities.
He stated that the BBMB administration is making every effort to ensure the convenience of devotees and visitors. He appealed to local residents to attend the fair—which begins on September 1st—in large numbers and enjoy the festivities.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintending Engineer Shri Vinay Kumar, who is overseeing the arrangements, mentioned that various handicrafts created by artisans would also be a major attraction for visitors. Furthermore, traditional and delicious delicacies from various states and regions of India will be available, serving as a special draw for the attendees.
He informed that this annual fair is being organized at the junction of Sector-2 and Sector-3, near the Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
