Una, October 14:- Pir Nigah Temple, located in Basoli in Una district, has been included in Schedule-I annexed to the Himachal Pradesh Hindu Public Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1984. The state government's Department of Language and Culture issued a notification in this regard today, October 14.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that under the notification, Pir Nigah Temple in village Basoli, Tehsil and District Una, has been included at serial number 37 in Schedule-I. The action has been taken under sub-section (1) of Section 29 of the Act.
He said that the state government has taken this step to ensure better management, protection and preservation of properties associated with the temple. Copies of the notification have been sent to the concerned departments for necessary action.
