Jalandhar:- Jalandhar MP and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has described the shooting and killing of Parvinder Singh Jhota, a social activist who raised his voice against drugs, as a deeply unfortunate incident. Channi said that Parvinder Singh Jhota had consistently stood firm against drug abuse and was serving the people, but he was shot dead today. He said Parvinder Singh Jhota had emerged as a martyr in the fight against drugs. He added that he would visit the victim's family at their home tomorrow to express his condolences.
