New Delhi:- Pakistan has sent expired relief materials to Sri Lanka. According to media reports, Pakistan had sent aid to Sri Lanka to deal with Cyclone Ditva, but the expiry date of those food packets was October 2024.
Pakistan sent several packages containing water, milk powder and flour. The Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka posted a related message on social media on November 30. It also shared photos of the relief items, in which their expiry date is clearly visible.
The post is going viral, due to which many users are criticizing Pakistan. However, Pakistan has not responded yet.
Sri Lanka is facing severe floods due to Cyclone Ditva. 390 people have been confirmed dead and 370 are missing. More than 1.1 million people have been affected in the country, with nearly 200,000 forced to leave their homes and living in shelters.
