Hansi, October 5 (Dinkar Gawri):- The Multipurpose Health Workers Association has demanded that posts capped under the online transfer policy be opened soon and vacant posts be filled through regular recruitment. The association has warned that if prompt action is not taken on its demands, an indefinite hunger strike will be started at the office of the Director General Health Services from October 7.

A delegation of the association, led by District Convener Anil Yadav, met Hansi MLA Vinod Bhayana and apprised him of the problem of posts being capped under the online transfer policy. The delegation also submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through the MLA.

Anil Yadav said that hundreds of posts in Hansi district have been capped in the list of vacant posts issued by the department. As a result, employees working in the district are facing a situation where they may have to move to other districts. He said this could directly affect health services at the local level.

Health Worker Pradeep Kumar said the association is demanding that instead of shifting employees from one place to another, the health infrastructure should be strengthened. Vacant posts should be filled through regular recruitment so that health services can be improved and employment opportunities can also be provided to youth.

He said that the state executive had already held a symbolic demonstration at the office of the Director General Health Services on September 29 and submitted a memorandum, but no concrete action has been taken in the matter so far.

The association said that if the problems are not resolved soon, it will be compelled to start an indefinite hunger strike at the office of the Director General Health Services from October 7. The entire responsibility for this will rest with the government and administration.

MPHW Anil Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Amarjeet and Health Inspector Ajit Yadav were present on the occasion.
