Dhuri, 15th February:- On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, OSD Sardar Sukhvir Singh of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann paid obeisance at various religious places of Dhuri constituency and sought blessings of Lord Bholenath. He prayed for the prosperity, peace and progress of the area.
On this occasion, he also attended a grand fair held at the ancient Shiva temple Dohala, where he shared Maha Shivratri greetings with the devotees. He said that the holy festival of Maha Shivratri inspires us to follow the path of truth and righteousness along with religious faith.
Later, OSD Shri Sukhvir Singh also paid obeisance at Shri Ganesh Mandir, Chembar Bagh, Malerkotla Road, Dhuri and prayed along with the devotees.
Along with this, he also reached Panchvati Mandir, Dhuri, where after paying obeisance, he inaugurated the Dharamshala on completion of the first phase of construction. He said that this Dharamshala will enhance the facilities for the devotees and further strengthen religious activities.
On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, he also attended the sixth Vishal Bhandare organized at Sheetla Mata Mandir (near Mahavir Mandir), Dhuri and participated in distributing langar with a spirit of service. He said that such religious events strengthen the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood.
On this occasion, OSD Sardar Sukhvir Singh was also honored by the members of the temple committees and the residents of the area. Pushpinder Sharma, Gurpreet Singh, Jasvir Singh, Pushpinder Attri, Sukhvir Singh Sodhi were also present on this occasion.
