No Parking and No Vending Zones Declared in Tahliwal Deputy Commissioner Issues Orders to Facilitate and Streamline Traffic

Una, December 19: Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal, has issued orders declaring Tahliwal Chowk and surrounding major road stretches in the Tahliwal area under Haroli sub-division as No Parking and No Vending Zones to strengthen the traffic management system. These orders, issued under Sections 115 and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, have been implemented with immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice.
It is worth noting that the district administration had previously declared No Parking and No Vending Zones in Una city, Mehatpur, Bangana, and Gagret to ensure greater public convenience and order.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that this decision was taken considering the traffic congestion, inconvenience to pedestrians, and road safety risks caused by illegal parking and unauthorized vending on the roads. The orders aim to ensure smooth traffic flow, public safety, and orderly traffic in the area.
According to the orders, both sides of the road from Tahliwal Chowk to KCC Bank (Tahliwal Chowk to Santoshgarh road) will be a No Parking and No Vending Zone. Buses will stop at the designated bus stand near the rain shelter opposite SBI Bank, Tahliwal, for passengers to board and alight.
Similarly, the road from Tahliwal Chowk to Hotel KP (Tahliwal Chowk to Amrali road) has also been declared a No Parking and No Vending Zone. On this route, buses will use the designated bus stand near Jai Shri Ram Trading Company, Main Market, Tahliwal.
In addition, the road stretch from Tahliwal Chowk to Himalayan Auto Service Center (Tahliwal Chowk to Bathri Road) has also been made a No Parking and No Vending Zone. On this route, bus stops have been designated near the SBI bank and Sharma Sweet Shop, in the main market of Tahliwal.
Similarly, the road from Tahliwal Chowk to Sharma Daily Needs store (Tahliwal Chowk to Haroli Road) has also been declared a no-parking and no-vending zone. For passengers on this route, a designated bus stop has been established near Jai Maa Enterprises, in the main market of Tahliwal.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that strict action will be taken under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and other relevant laws against those who violate these orders.
