Chandigarh:- Demonstrating remarkable automotive capability, Nissan Motor has further strengthened its 75-year legacy of excellence in the SUV segment. Nissan Motor India has earned a place in the India Book of Records for the largest convoy of a single SUV model to reach Leh.
A convoy of 60 new Nissan Tecton premium SUVs successfully completed a five-day Himalayan expedition, covering a distance of over 700 kilometers. The journey took the vehicles from an altitude of 1,053 feet in Chandigarh to the Shinku La Pass at 16,703 feet and Leh at 11,480 feet. This expedition showcased the capability, durability, and engineering prowess of Nissan's new premium SUV.
This record-breaking expedition highlighted the new Nissan Tecton's capabilities across diverse terrains—from highways to mountainous regions—and in varying weather conditions and high-altitude environments. More than just an achievement, the expedition demonstrated the Tecton's outstanding performance under varied conditions along the route from Chandigarh-Manali/Jangla to Leh via Shinku La Pass. Throughout the journey, the Tecton convoy was driven by members of the media and automotive industry experts.
