Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 March 2026: For the Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar (Mohali), property tax is an important revenue source for the overall development of the city, through which basic amenities like road improvement, street lights, park maintenance and cleanliness are provided. Therefore it is the responsibility of every citizen to deposit their property tax on time.
Giving this information, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Mohali, Jasjit Singh informed that the last date to deposit property tax for the year 2025-26 with 10% penalty has been fixed as 31 March 2026.
He informed that after 31 March 2026, a 20% penalty and 18% interest will be applicable on payment of property tax. He further informed that citizens who have not yet made their property ID should immediately get their ID made by submitting their relevant documents at the property tax branch of the Municipal Corporation.
He informed that for the convenience of the public, the property tax branch will also remain open on 31 March 2026 (holiday) from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
He appealed to all citizens to contribute to the development of their city by depositing their property tax before the stipulated date and avoid additional penalty.
