Una, September 5: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri participated in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and a grand Saints' Conference organized at the Thakur Dwara Temple in Bhadsali Upper to mark the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. This religious event was held from August 29 to September 5.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister announced a grant of ?25 lakh in the first phase for the development of the Thakur Dwara Temple in Bhadsali Upper. He stated that a total of ?40 lakh would be spent on the temple's development and beautification. Additionally, he announced ?25 lakh for the construction of a community hall in Bhadsali Upper and ?15 lakh for road construction within the panchayat.
He also announced grants of ?5 lakh each for the Guga Jahar Peer Temple in Bhadsali Upper and the Tapasthan Sant Devia Sikh Gurudwara.
To mark the occasion of Guga Navami, the Deputy Chief Minister paid obeisance at the Guga Jahar Peer Temple and also sought blessings at the Tapasthan Sant Devia Sikh Gurudwara.
He remarked that religious and spiritual sites are vital centers of our rich cultural heritage. Such events foster mutual brotherhood, harmony, and spiritual consciousness within society. The state government is continuously striving to develop religious sites and provide better amenities for devotees.
Upon his arrival at the Thakur Dwara Temple in Bhadsali, the Deputy Chief Minister was welcomed by the temple committee president, Mohan Singh Jaswal.
Dignitaries present on the occasion included Bhadsali Upper Gram Panchayat Pradhan Ashwani Jaswal, Lower Bhadsali Pradhan Suram Singh, Gurudwara Singh Sabha Bhadsali Pradhan Yashpal Singh Saka, as well as Jaspal Jassa, Manjit Kaur Saka, Joginder Singh Pathi, Surjit Singh, Gurdeep Singh, and Darshan Singh.
