Mohali, September 06, 2026: Patiala Member of Parliament Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi conferred 'Sewa Samman' awards upon prominent personalities of the region during a felicitation ceremony held at Maat-Pita Godham Mahateerth in Khallaur village, Mohali. The individuals were honored for their outstanding contributions to social service, cultural preservation, humanitarian efforts, and public welfare. Rajpura MLA Neena Mittal also attended the event as the Guest of Honor.
Devotees and social workers gathered in large numbers from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and the Tricity area. Commending the initiatives of the shrine, Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi emphasized that respecting parents and serving cows form the backbone of our culture and moral ethics. MLA Neena Mittal stated that the establishment of the world's first temple dedicated to parents in this region is a matter of immense pride for Punjab and the entire country. She appreciated founder Gauchar Das Gyan for his leadership.
On this occasion, a team from Kohli Hospital Blood Center, Anandpur Sahib, organized a blood donation drive along with a free health check-up camp.
