Fatehgarh Sahib: As part of a special *seva* (selfless service) campaign launched by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)—aimed at connecting youth with the Sikh faith, history, and the spirit of service during summer vacations—students and staff members of Mata Gujri College paid obeisance and participated in *seva* activities at Sri Darbar Sahib.
Under this initiative, college students and staff performed various *seva* tasks for the *Sangat* (congregation) arriving from across the country and abroad at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. They assisted devotees in paying obeisance smoothly, served cold water, helped the elderly find seating, and encouraged the *Sangat* to maintain the decorum and discipline of the *Guru Ghar* (House of the Guru). They also encouraged devotees to listen to the divine *Kirtan*.
Approximately 100 students and 10 staff members from the college's **NSS unit**, **NCC unit**, and **Mata Gujri Study Circle** participated in these service activities with complete dedication and humility.
Speaking on the occasion, College Principal **Dr. Bikramjit Singh** praised the SGPC initiative, describing the campaign as an inspiring effort to connect students with their religious roots, Sikh traditions, and *Gurmat* values. He noted that participating in service-oriented activities during vacations fosters the personality development of the youth while strengthening their spirit of service, *Simran* (meditation), and discipline.
Commending the campaign—conducted under the leadership of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Secretary of Educational Institutions Er. Sukhminder Singh—he stated that such programs play a vital role in the holistic development of students.
The students and college staff expressed their gratitude to the SGPC (Sri Amritsar Sahib) management and the officials of the Directorate of Education for the support and guidance provided during this religious service.
