Chandigarh, September 3:- The Haryana government is continuously making concerted efforts to promote horticulture and diversified farming methods instead of conventional farming in the state. In this series, the state government is taking an important initiative and is organizing the state's first 'Horticultural Fair and Horticultural Expo-2026' through Maharana Pratap Horticultural University Karnal. This two-day grand and high-level event will be held at the university's Uchani Campus, Karnal on September 19-20, 2026.
A government spokesperson said while giving information in this regard that the main objective of this expo is to provide a common platform to the farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, researchers and stakeholders associated with agri-industry of the state. Through this, farmers will be directly introduced to the latest technological innovations in the horticulture sector, advanced varieties of seeds, modern irrigation systems (such as drip and sprinkler irrigation), polyhouse technology, and scientific farm management methods.
The spokesperson said that the special attraction of the two-day fair will be the Horticulture-Industrial Exhibition, where various national and international agricultural companies, start-ups and institutions will showcase their modern equipment, fertilizers, bio-inputs and processing techniques. Apart from this, farmers will be given detailed guidance on scientific methods of cultivation of high quality fruits, vegetables, flowers, spice crops and medicinal plants.
A government spokesperson said that all necessary arrangements are being completed on time to make the organization of this expo smooth and world-class.
