Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 11:- Member of Parliament from the Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, Malwinder Singh Kang, inaugurated and dedicated various development projects to the public in the Kharar Assembly constituency on Sunday. Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Parminder Singh Goldy, sarpanches of the concerned villages and other senior representatives were also present on the occasion.
The projects included a park and playground in Chandpur village, a gym in Phantwan village, a drinking water tanker facility in Mudhon Sangtian village, and a gym in Ward No. 4 of Sunny Enclave, Kharar.
MP Kang said that funds were being provided for development works under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme, keeping in view the demands and needs of local residents. He said the objective of these projects was to provide better basic facilities to people and make their daily lives more convenient.
He said that parks and playgrounds would provide people with better spaces for walking, sports and recreation, while community gyms would promote physical fitness. The drinking water facility would also help meet the needs of the local residents.
He emphasised that he had consistently fulfilled the responsibility entrusted to him by the people through their right to representation in Parliament by raising issues in the public interest, in the national interest and in the interest of Punjab. He said he would remain committed to ensuring that funds under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme were also utilised transparently, keeping public interest and local needs at the forefront.
On the occasion, local representatives and village sarpanches also shared their demands and suggestions regarding development works.
