Mahilpur, December 19:- The audience watched the two matches of Group-A of the 79th National Football Championship under the Santosh Trophy being organized by the Punjab Football Federation at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium in Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here with bated breath. In an important match, Punjab's football team has secured its place in the final by defeating Jammu and Kashmir by a margin of 1-0. The final match will be held in Assam in the coming days.
Earlier, in a separate match of the championship, Ladakh's team defeated Himachal Pradesh by a margin of 1-0. Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai ??Krishan Singh Raudi attended as the chief guest on this occasion. He got acquainted with the players and inspired the players to play with sportsmanship.
