Garhshankar:- At Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, which is run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, a Gurmat Chetna March was organized from the college after organizing a Gurmat Samagam at the college Gurdwara Sahib dedicated to the unparalleled martyrdom of Mata Gujar Kaur and Sahibzadey on the orders of Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Sukhminder Singh, Secretary Education, which passed through different parts of the city and ended at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
During the Gurmat Samagam at the college Gurdwara Sahib, after the chanting of Sri Japji Sahib and Sri Chaupai Sahib, Prof. Ramanpreet Singh and the students performed Kirtan. On this occasion, students Prince Singh and Lovepreet Singh narrated the history of the unparalleled martyrdom of Mata Gujar Kaur and Sahibzadey through a story.
On this occasion, former MLA and SGPC member contractor Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, SGPC Interim Committee member Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai and international Sikh preacher Giani Balbir Singh Changiyara attended the function and the Gurmat Chetna March.
Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira thanked the dignitaries who arrived at the function and invited the students to take inspiration from the history of the unparalleled martyrdom of Mata Gujar Kaur and the Sahibzadas.
After the conclusion of the function, all the staff and students from various departments participated in the Gurmat Chetna March organized by the college and during this, Shabads were read by the staff members and students. At the end of the Gurmat Chetna March, a milk langar was served by Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
