Hoshiarpur- Red Ribbon Club and National Service Scheme Department of Sant Baba Dalip Singh Memorial Khalsa College Dumeli, an educational institution running under Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, organised a poster making competition on the topic 'No Plastic: A Big Step for Environmental Protection' dedicated to International Environment Day.
In which the students of the college participated enthusiastically. On this occasion, Madam Amarpal Kaur ji, in-charge of Red Ribbon Club, motivated the students to use jute bags instead of plastic bags.
Madam Damanjit Kaur ji, head of National Service Scheme Department, said that we should avoid using items made of plastic and should not use any kind of plastic bag while shopping. Instead, we should carry bags in the market.
On this occasion, College Principal Dr. Gurnam Singh Rasoolpur gave a message to the students that we should always try to keep our environment clean. All the staff members and students of the college were present on this occasion.
