Karnal, October 13: The birth anniversary of the fourth Guru of the Sikh sect, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Ramdas Ji Maharaj, was celebrated with reverence and devotion today. The main event for this occasion was held at the Dera Kar Seva Gurdwara, organized by the Sri Guru Nanak Seva Jatha, Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Karnal, with the support of Baba Sukha Singh, head of the Dera Kar Seva.
The devotees began arriving at the Gurdwara premises since morning. A Diwan was organized for the occasion, where Ragi and Dhadi groups sang praises of the Guru, filling the atmosphere with devotion. Thousands of devotees bowed at the Guru's feet and partook of the Atoot Langar (Lar) Prasad.
On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Mayor Renu Bala Gupta said that the message of humanity, service, and unity given by Guru Ramdas Ji Maharaj continues to inspire society. She added that by establishing Amritsar, Guru Ji taught society the lesson of unity and brotherhood.
During the program, narrator Giani Vishal Singh (Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar), Hazuri Ragi Bhai Sukhjeet Singh, Bhai Arjun Singh, Bhai Balpreet Singh (Ludhiana), Bhai Gurpreet Singh (Tarawadi), Bhai Pradeep Singh (Model Town Gurudwara), Bhai Balwinder Singh, Bhai Inderjeet Singh, and Bhai Amritpal Singh (Karnal) sang the praises of the Guru in the Kirtan Darbar. Max Hospital also organized a free medical checkup camp on this occasion, where cardiologists, gynecologists, and orthopedic specialists examined patients. BMD and other tests were performed, and the doctors who provided services were honored. 
Present at the event were Gurdwara Management Committee General Secretary Inderpal Singh, Haryana Chamber of Commerce Secretary Harpreet Singh Happy, BJP leader Manmeet Singh Baba, Jathedar Kala Singh, Gurnam Singh, Mangpreet Singh, and numerous devotees. Guru Nanak Seva Jatha chief Ratan Singh, Rajendra Middha, Preetpal Singh Raheja, Satinder Singh, Aman Middha, and Amritpal Singh welcomed all guests by presenting them with Siropas.
