Haroli/Una, April 19 (Rajveer Chopra):— 'Jetha Ravivar' (The First Sunday of the Month of Jeth) was celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm on Sunday at the historic religious shrine of Sri Guru Ravidas—located at the sacred site of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib. On this auspicious occasion, a large number of devotees arrived at the 'Guru Ghar' (the Guru's abode) to pay their obeisance and seek blessings.
To mark the occasion of Jetha Ravivar, a group led by the Guru Ghar's chief custodians—Baba Kewal Singh, Baljinder Singh, and Deepak Singh—connected the congregation (*Sangat*) with the sacred teachings (*Pavitra Vani*) of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, delivering a spiritual message through a religious discourse (*Satsang*).
During the proceedings, the head of the Guru Ghar, Baba Kewal Singh, appealed to the congregation, announcing that a sit-in protest (*dharna*) would be staged on April 22 outside the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Garhshankar. The protest aims to demand the removal of liquor vends that have been opened in the vicinity of Khuralgarh Sahib. He raised the pertinent question: just as the government has declared Sri Harmandir Sahib (Amritsar) and Anandpur Sahib as 'Holy Cities,' why cannot Sri Khuralgarh Sahib be accorded the same status?
He emphasized that this is the very sacred land where Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj spent approximately 4 years, 11 months, and 2 days.
During the program, the congregation earned spiritual merit by offering donations to the Guru Ghar with deep reverence. Several devotees were present on this occasion, including Treasurer Harbhajan Singh, Baba Naresh Singh, Baba Sukhdev Singh, and Rajinder Singh.
