Jalandhar: Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has achieved a big success. Under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur and under the leadership of 43P/9NV Manpreet Singh Dhillon, 143P/9NV Shri Jayant Puri and 13P (4) Amarbir Singh, a team of 391 Staff Jalandhar Incharge Inspector Surinder Kumar has taken action and arrested 2 accused and recovered 80 grams of heroin and Rs 2,05,000 drug money from their possession.
Giving information, CP Jalandhar said that on 04.12.2025, the police team of 391 S“166 took action and arrested two persons from Focal Point Jalandhar on suspicion. Who were identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Sajan son of Gurjit Singh resident of House No. NB 47 Preet Nagar Sodal Road, Police Station Division No. 8 Jalandhar and Prabhjot alias Prabh son of Jaspal resident of House No. 477 Preet Nagar Sodal Road, Jalandhar.
A total of 80 grams of heroin along with Rs. 02 lakh 5 thousand were recovered from the possession of the said persons. Case No. 295 dated 04.12.2025 has been registered against the accused under Sections 21, 27-1, 61-85 N4PS Act in Police Station Division No. 8 Jalandhar.
Accused Gurpreet Singh alias Sajan was also arrested earlier. Case No. 133 dated 08.05.2022 Section 21, 61-85 N4PS Act is registered in Police Station Division No. 8 Jalandhar. He said that the interrogation of the accused regarding forward and backward links is going on and Jalandhar Police will continue such actions against drug smugglers strictly in future also.
