Patiala, 26 September:- Chief Trainer of the First Aid, Safety and Health Awareness Mission and retired Training Supervisor of the Red Cross, Shri Kaka Ram Verma, under his mission, provided information to students at Public High School Alowal and Government Senior Secondary Smart School Model Town about their safety, health, fitness and protection from anti-social elements. He explained the causes of heart attacks and first-aid CPR, besides creating awareness about drug abuse, fast food, junk food, cold drinks, kidnapping, staying alert against anti-social elements, and safety related to domestic gas and electricity.
The students were also informed about the use of helpline numbers of the police, fire brigade, ambulance and cyber security services.
Principal Smt. Surinder Kaur, Programme Coordinator Shri Sukhwinder Singh Guran, and Government School Principal Shri Rajesh Modi and Vice Principal Shri Bhagwant Singh expressed their gratitude and said that in the present times, along with good education, it is beneficial to make students aware of the importance of social, physical, mental, financial and family relationships, as well as the losses caused by mistakes and temptations, so that children can make efforts at their own level to keep themselves healthy, fit, safe and prosperous.
