Chandigarh, November 19 - With the aim of increasing the interest of students towards science subjects and connecting them with modern scientific thinking, India International Science Festival-2025 is being organized in joint collaboration with the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India and the Indian Meteorological Department.
In this series, a Student Village program will be organized at Panjab University, Chandigarh from 6 to 9 December 2025.
Giving information, a spokesperson of the Haryana Government said that the Director General of the Directorate of Science and Technology, Northern Education Department, Haryana has been nominated as the nodal officer for this event.
He said that 35 students and 5 teachers from each district of Haryana from classes 8th to 11th will participate in the program. Buses will be arranged separately to take them to and from the program venue.
The spokesperson further informed that special transport facilities will be made available to ensure the participation of 2000 students every day from Panchkula and nearby areas.
Along with this, a copy of the program information has been sent to the Higher Education and Schools, Transport Department, Tourism Department, Hospitality Department and Deputy Commissioner Panchkula so that all the departments can provide their cooperation in a coordinated manner.
