Patiala, 15th August 2026:- Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotism and splendor on Saturday, 15th August 2026, in the premises of Children Memorial Senior Secondary School. On this occasion, the entire atmosphere of the school was filled with the spirit of patriotism.
Sardar Harchand Singh Burst Ji, Chairman Mandi Board and General Secretary, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, specially attended the function as the chief guest. The chief guest reached the school and performed the ceremony of hoisting the national flag. After this, he addressed the students and motivated them to work hard, discipline, honesty and fulfill their responsibility towards the country. He also explained to the students the important things that are always useful in life. Along with this, he remembered with reverence the freedom fighters and patriots who made great sacrifices for the independence of the country.
On this occasion, Shri Sonam Bansal Ji, Social Worker, Sardar Sandeep Singh Raja Toor Ji, Mrs. Geetanjali Ji and her respected father Colonel Sahib specially attended and graced the event. Apart from this, Shri Rakesh Thakur Ji, Director of Rashtriya Jyoti Kala Manch also became a part of this special event.
To make the joy of Independence Day more memorable, a wonderful colorful cultural program was presented by the students of the school. The students displayed their talent through patriotic songs, poems, dance and various cultural performances. The performances of the children decorated with the colors of the tricolor created a special attraction in the event and received great appreciation from the audience.
