Nawanshahr:- Like every year, a special meeting was held at the office of Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society regarding the preparations for Mahan Kirtan Darbar and Gurmat Samagams in different villages organized by Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society, which was presided over by the society's chief patron and great scholar Giani Sarabjit Singh Ludhiana Wale. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the preparations for the eighth Mahan Kirtan Darbar to be organized this year.
This Kirtan Darbar is to be organized on November 14, 15 and 16 at the ground of Khalsa Senior Secondary School Nawanshahr, in which the great Kirtan jathas and narrators of the Panth will specially participate. The program of organizing around 20 Gurmat Samagams in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Hoshiarpur and Machhiwara areas of Dhan Dhan Sahib like every year dedicated to the 557th anniversary of the Mahan Kirtan Darbar of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was also finalized during this meeting.
Sharing this information ensured for the event, the Chief Sewadar of the Society, Surjit Singh, said that he was in touch with the famous scholars of the Panth, Bhai Pinderpal Singh Ji, Bhai Harpal Singh Ji Fatehgarh Sahib Wale, the great Kirtanis of the Panth, Bhai Anant Vir Singh Ji, Bhai Charanjit Singh Ji Hira, Bhai Simranjit Singh Ji USA (son of Gurpurwasi Bhai Inderjit Singh Ji Bombay Wale), Bhai Taranvir Singh Rabbi, besides the famous Kirtanis of the Panth and the learned Katha reciters.
During these events, discussions were also held in the meeting regarding organizing a one-day Atam Ras Kirtan Darbar by the Hazuri Raagi Jathas of Darbar Sahib. The Chief Patron of the Society, Giani Sarabjit Singh, appealed to the Sangat to cooperate and participate in the Mahan Kirtan Darbar and Gurmat Samagams being organized this year as well, like every year.
