Chairman Sandeep Saini said that organizations like the United Sports Club are the backbone of society, boosting the morale of athletes. It is only with their support that government sports policies are implemented meaningfully and girls continue to achieve great heights in sports.
He urged the youth to stay away from drugs, embrace sports as a part of their lives, and maximize the opportunities provided by the government.
Sandeep Saini said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is launching a historic initiative to open sports nurseries in the state, providing grassroots talent with scientific training, nurturing, and opportunities to reach the national stage. The primary objective of this initiative is to strengthen sports at the Panchayat and village levels, increase participation of girls, and nurture future champions.
He added that the Kheda Watan Punjab Diya campaign has also revitalized the state's sports culture. The felicitation ceremony is a living example of this commitment, where, along with the athletes, all the respected personalities associated with the sports ecosystem were honored by the United Sports Club with commendation medals, mementos, and shawls.
