Nawanshahr:- The 7th Annual Mahan Kirtan Darbar dedicated to the 556th Prakash Purb of Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was organized by Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society from 25 to 27 October 2025 at the Khalsa Senior Secondary School Ground and after that, the historical Nagar Kirtan and two-day celebrations dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Centenary Celebration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were successfully completed by the immense grace of God.
To express their gratitude, a thanksgiving and honor ceremony was held at the local Rotary Bhawan. Apart from these, the donors who made huge contributions for the rehabilitation of the flood victims were also specially invited during this ceremony. This simple and impressive thanksgiving and honor ceremony was attended by religious figures, various religious and social service organizations belonging to the Hindu and Sikh communities, as well as important figures of the area working in the field of social service, including the Chief Patron of Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society Bhai Sarabjit Singh, the Chief Administrator of Gurudwara Manji Sahib Baba Narang Singh, Barjinder Singh Hussainpur, Halka Incharge Lalit Mohan Pathak (Ballu Ji), President of Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan S. Kulwinder Singh Dhahan, President of Vapaar Mandal Chintu Arora, J K Dutta, Parvinder Batra, Advocate Vishal Sharma, Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Giani Sarabjit Singh thanked God for the smooth completion of the 7th Mahan Kirtan Darbar, the 350 martyrdom centenary celebrations organized in the area and especially the historic Nagar Kirtan organized on this occasion. He also thanked the Sangats of the entire area, Gurudwara Management Committees, religious organizations, and those who supported from all walks of life.
He said that today, people of all religions should organize such events together to end the decline of communalism and bitterness in the society and to give a message of love, peace, mutual brotherhood and harmony, an example of which was seen in the historic Nagar Kirtan organized in Nawanshahr.
Apart from him, S. Barjinder Singh Hussainpur welcomed the organizations and prominent personalities who came from various institutions. Lalit Mohan Pathak and other speakers congratulated the devotees on the immense success of the Kirtan Darbar and the Shaheedi Samagam. Later, all the religious and social service organizations, prominent personalities and the gentlemen who supported them with their body, mind and wealth from across the district were also honored.
Sharing this information, Surjit Singh, Chief Sewadar of Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society, said that on this occasion, all the prominent organizations related to the Hindu community of the city were specially honored, who made important contributions in the preparation and implementation of the historical Nagar Kirtan. The personalities included Bhai Sarabjit Singh, Baba Narang Singh, Barjinder Singh Hussainpur, Lalit Mohan Pathak (Ballu Pradhan Ji), and Kulwinder Singh Dhahan Chintu Arora, Parvinder Batra and Gopal Mohan Sharda.
Apart from the organizations, Rajinder Singh Kangaroo Abroad, Simratpal Singh Mom, Sardarni Narinder Kaur, Jaspal Singh Saroya, Paramjit Singh Ladhana Jhikka, Paramjit Singh USA, Charan Singh Urapar, Narinder Kaur, Surjit Singh Mehtpuri, Nirmal Kaur, Mata Avtar Kaur Denowal, Amrik Singh Sembhi and other supportive gentlemen were honored.
