Bathinda, May 30:- In accordance with the guidelines of Punjab, a special help desk has been set up at the District Administrative Complex, Bathinda, keeping in view the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. This help desk has been established at the District Election Office, Room Number 321-A.
Sharing this information, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sh. Rajesh Dhiman stated that the main objective of this help desk is to make election-related services easily accessible to the public during the SIR process. Along with this, maximum participation of all eligible citizens, especially Persons with Disabilities (PwD), migrant voters, and senior citizens, will be ensured in the election process. Several important services and facilities will be provided to voters through this help desk.
He mentioned that citizens visiting the help desk will be provided complete information regarding the SIR deadline, as well as guidance on the necessary documents for new voter registration, correction of entries, or deletion of names. Additionally, voters will be assisted in searching and linking records with the final SIR voter list of 2003.
The staff at the help desk will assist voters in filling out and submitting enumeration forms through both online and offline modes. Migrant voters will receive special assistance in identifying their current and previous assembly constituencies to ensure their registration at the correct location. Citizens will also be made aware of the Voter Helpline Number 1950 and the features of the All-Inclusive mobile application (ECINet), especially the "Book a Call with BLO" facility.
Sh. Dhiman directed the staff deployed at the help desk to ensure strict compliance with the aforementioned instructions. He appealed to voters and the general public to make maximum use of the help desk facility during this important electoral process under SIR.
