Una, January 13: Dr. (Colonel) Dhani Ram Shandil, the state's Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment, and Sainik Welfare, will be the chief guest at the district-level Republic Day celebrations to be held in Una. He will hoist the national flag at the grounds of Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Una on January 26.  Special preparations are being made to make this year's celebrations more grand and memorable, including parades, tableaux, stalls, and cultural programs.

**Deputy Commissioner Reviews Preparations**
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal held a meeting with officials from the concerned departments on Tuesday to review the preparations for the Republic Day celebrations and issued necessary instructions to ensure a well-organized and dignified event.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that Health Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhani Ram Shandil will pay tribute at the Martyrs' Memorial in MC Park at 10:45 AM on January 26.  Following this, he will hoist the national flag at the grounds of Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Una at 11:00 AM.
After hoisting the flag, the chief guest will inspect the parade, receive the salute during the march-past, and address the district residents. The parade will include contingents from the police and home guards, as well as students from NCC and NSS. During the program, students from various educational institutions and drama groups of the district will present cultural performances based on patriotism and folk culture.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that alternative arrangements have been made at the Town Hall in case of inclement weather.

**Tableaux Based on State Government's Development Schemes to be a Major Attraction**
The Deputy Commissioner said that attractive tableaux based on various welfare and development schemes of the state government will be presented at the ceremony. These will include tableaux related to the Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day Boarding School, as well as tableaux from the Health, AYUSH, Agriculture, Horticulture, Red Cross, Samarthya, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries departments. He instructed the concerned departments to make the tableaux meaningful and attractive.

**Dedicated Workers to be Honored, Awards for Best Tableau, Stall, and Performance**
Jatin Lal informed that during the program, officers and employees who have performed outstanding work in various departments will be honored. Additionally, special awards will be given to those presenting the best tableau, best stall, and best cultural performance.
Furthermore, freedom fighters from the district and brave soldiers decorated with gallantry awards will be specially honored.

**Healthy Food Stalls to be Set Up on the Lines of the 'Eat Right' Fair**
The Deputy Commissioner informed that with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, stalls offering healthy food will be set up at the venue, on the lines of the 'Eat Right' fair. Government departments as well as self-help groups will participate in these stalls. In addition, various departments will also set up stalls showcasing their schemes and products.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the district residents to participate in large numbers in the ceremony and celebrate this national festival with collective enthusiasm, dignity, and joy.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia, Assistant Commissioner Varinder Sharma, and officers from various departments were present at the meeting.
