Chandigarh, October 22:- Haryana Health, Medical Education and AYUSH Minister Aarti Singh Rao said the state government has taken another significant step towards strengthening healthcare services in rural and urban areas by granting administrative approval for the construction of new buildings and infrastructure at various healthcare institutions at an estimated cost of Rs 423.48 lakh. The initiative aims to provide standard, modern buildings to sub-health centres that are currently operating without dedicated buildings or functioning from panchayat buildings and other structures.

Aarti Singh Rao said the plan includes the construction of new buildings for sub-health centres in Rajgarh and Kalinga-Dujana villages of Bhiwani district, Mangorka and Gadpuri villages of Palwal district, and Devarad and Dharoli villages of Jind district. It also includes land filling and the installation of interlocking pavement blocks for the BPHU at Rania Community Health Centre in Sirsa district. The required human resources are already available at all these sub-health centres, which are fully operational. They will now be provided with permanent, modern buildings based on standard designs measuring 187.60 square metres, prepared by the Architecture Department in accordance with the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) 2022.

In addition, the state government has approved the construction of a new Primary Health Centre in Sakras village of Nuh district.

The Health Minister said the state government is committed to constructing new healthcare institutions during the financial year 2026-27, and the necessary budgetary provision has also been made. Once these construction projects are completed, patients in rural areas will have easier access to high-quality medical facilities and healthcare services closer to their homes, bringing a historic improvement to the state's healthcare infrastructure.
