Chandigarh, December 5:- At the Indian Model of Modern Sports Management Conference organized at Haryana Sports University Rai, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that sports today is no longer a subject limited to only players, but it has become a vast employment, innovation and science-based sector. Welcoming the educationists, experts and sports enthusiasts from across the country, he said that this conference will prepare a strong roadmap for India's sports sector for the coming generations.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving forward with the resolution of becoming a developed nation by the year 2047 and the role of the sports sector is very important in this goal. Haryana's players have given new heights to the identity of the state at the global level. Players have hoisted the flag of the country at international platforms like Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and University Games.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Indianization of sports management is not just adopting Indian symbols or names, but integrating our traditional sports values ??and modern scientific management. He said that the basis of this Indianization is four Ò M Ó- Modernity, Mindset, Management ns/ Moral Values. He said that the coming era will be of data driven, technology-enabled and science supported sports, therefore it is very important to develop a strong management model based on Indian conditions.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government has invested more than Rs. 989 crore in the sports sector in the last 11 years, while a provision of Rs. 589 crore 69 lakh has been made in the budget of this financial year. Today, 3 state-level sports complexes, 21 district-level stadiums, 163 Rajiv Gandhi Rural Sports Complexes, 245 rural stadiums, 382 indoor gyms, 10 swimming pools, 11 synthetic athletics tracks, 14 hockey astroturfs, 2 football synthetic surfaces and 9 multi-purpose halls have been developed in the state.
He said that the network of Haryana Sports University, coaching centres and modern stadiums is being extended to every village. At present, 1,489 sports nurseries are being operated in the state, in which 37,225 players are receiving training. He said that high performance centres and mini sports complexes will be established in every district and panchayat level.
The Chief Minister said that by combining traditional Indian sports techniques with modern sports market, India can create a new Indian sports brand, which will give a new identity to the country's sports model on the world stage. He expressed confidence that with the synergy of players' talent, scientific training and modern management, India will make a remarkable improvement in the medal tally in the 2026 and 2028 Olympics.
He said that this conference is going to give a new direction to the future of sports in India. The ideas put forward here will add a new chapter in the history of India in the coming years. He appealed to everyone to strengthen the concept of a developed India of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through sports.
On this occasion, National Organizing Minister of Krira Bharati Prasad Mahanakar gave detailed information about the two-day conference organized on the Indian model of modern sports management. He said that this conference will encourage innovation in sports and help in promoting sportsmen.
Haryana Sports University Vice Chancellor and former DGP Ashok Kumar said that the aim of this two-day seminar is to include the inclusion of Indian culture in sports. He also highlighted the achievements of the Sports University established in the year 2022. On this occasion, BJP State President Shri Mohan Lal Kaushik, MLA from Rai Krishna Gehlawat, MLA from Sonipat Nikhil Madan, MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, Mayor Rajiv Jain, international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and many other dignitaries were present.
