Chandigarh, July 27:- In a major improvement for citizens with an aim to make land-related services faster, transparent and paperless, the Haryana Government has launched an online system. With this, people can apply for and download digitally certified copies of Jamabandi, Mutation, Fard Badar and Registered Sale Deed without visiting the Revenue Department (Revenue Office).
Commissioner of State and Disaster Management Department Dr. Sumita Mishra said that the department has launched a new module on the 'Revenue Haryana Portal', through which citizens can get certified land records through an easy online process.
She said that all Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been directed to implement this system uniformly across the state. To facilitate its implementation, the department has also prepared a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for revenue officers and a detailed user manual with step-by-step guidance for citizens.
Dr. Mishra said that applicants can log in to the portal with their registered mobile number through OTP authentication and submit the application by selecting the necessary documents and filling in information like district, tehsil and village. A unique tracking ID will be generated for each application and it will be sent electronically to the concerned Patwari or revenue officer for verification. Once the application is approved, the digitally certified document will be automatically generated after the prescribed fee is deposited online and will be available for download from the applicant’s dashboard.
A uniform fee of Rs 100 will be charged for certified copy of mutation, registered sale deed and Fard Badar, irrespective of the size of the document. For submission, a fee of Rs 100 will be charged for the first 10 pages, while an additional fee of Rs 5 will be charged for each page thereafter. The prescribed fee can be submitted online, after which the digitally authenticated document will be available for download from the applicant’s dashboard.
Dr. Mishra said that this initiative is expected to significantly reduce the need for repeated visits to the Tehsil office, reduce delays in obtaining land records and increase transparency through end-to-end digital workflow. This online system will also strengthen accountability by maintaining a complete electronic record of every application and approval. The responsibility for the accuracy of the uploaded records has been fixed with the concerned Patwari or Revenue Officer to ensure the accuracy of the data. Any correction after uploading will be processed only through the prescribed official process.
The Financial Commissioner said that this initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize the state's revenue administration and deliver government services through a technology-based, citizen-friendly platform, which will make access to land records faster, more transparent and hassle-free.
