Hisar, March 28: The 70th Annual Hanuman Jayanti Festival of the Sanatan Dharma Hanuman Temple, located at Nagori Gate, Hisar, will be celebrated with great pomp and grandeur on April 2nd. In a joint statement, the Trust's President—Advocate Kailash Chaudhary—along with Secretary Madhusudan Gupta and Festival Convener CA Pramod Mittal, announced that on this day at 5:00 PM, a magnificent procession (Shobha Yatra) of Lord Hanuman will set out from the temple premises. The procession will traverse through the city's major markets before returning to the temple. Amidst numerous tableaux (Jhankis) featured in the procession, the tableau of Lord Hanuman—adorned with colorful flowers—is expected to be the central attraction.
Several *Sankirtan* groups from the city will also participate in the event, singing praises to Lord Hanuman. The procession will proceed through key markets—including Railway Road, Agrasen Chowk, Gurudwara Road, Tilak Bazar, Thana Road, Khajanchiyan Bazar, Vakilan Bazar, Moti Bazar, Delhi Gate, Arya Bazar, and Rajguru Market—before concluding back at the temple premises. Following the conclusion of the procession, a community feast (*Bhandara*) will be organized within the temple premises at 7:30 PM.
Trust President Advocate Kailash Chaudhary, Secretary Madhusudan Gupta, and Festival Convener CA Pramod Mittal further informed that from April 3rd to April 11th, a musical recitation of the *Shri Navahna Parayan Ramayana* will be held within the temple premises. These recitations will take place daily from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (noon) and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, delivered in the melodious voices of the *Katha Vyas* (narrators), Pt. Girdhar Gopal Asopa and Pt. Sushil Asopa (of Jodhpur).
They have earnestly requested all residents of the city to participate enthusiastically in the Hanuman Jayanti Festival, to seek *Darshan* (blessings) of Lord Hanuman's tableau, and to partake in the community feast.
