Jaito, 21 February:- In memory of the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib that took place in 1921, a Gurmat Samagam was organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall. On this occasion, after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Jatha of Bhai Varinder Singh performed Gurbani Kirtan. Ardas was performed by Bhai Baljit Singh and the holy Hukamnama was recited by the narrator of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, Bhai Harmitar Singh.
On this occasion, narrator Bhai Harmitar Singh paid homage and respect to the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib and said that our ancestors made many sacrifices to take the management of the Gurdwaras and the Panthic hands. The determination and courage shown by the Sikh warriors to liberate the Prakash Asthan of the first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, from the so-called Mahants proved to be a milestone in organizing the Sikh community. He said that it is our duty to take guidance from these great martyrs of the community to strengthen our national institutions and to guard the Panthic faith. Meanwhile, the group of Dhadi Bhai Gurpreet Singh also connected the Sangat with the history of the Guru. During the event, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Jaspal Singh Dhadde, Additional Manager Bikramjit Singh Jhangi, Jasbir Singh, Gurtindpal Singh Qadian, Deputy Manager Dilbagh Singh etc. were present.
