Faridkot:- Today, a skilling workshop on the theme “Best Out of Waste” was successfully organized to promote creativity and environmental awareness among students. The main objective of this workshop was to inspire children to reuse waste materials and transform them into useful and decorative items.
During the workshop, students were shown how plastic bottles, old newspapers, cardboard, tin boxes, old clothes, and other household waste materials can be converted into beautiful and useful products. The children learned the process of making pen stands, flower pots, wall hangings, decorative items, and household utility products from waste materials.
On this occasion, Principal Mrs. Maninder Kaur addressed the students and said that such activities not only enhance children’s skills but also instill a sense of responsibility toward environmental change. She appreciated the efforts of the teaching staff and the students.
The workshop was organized by school teacher Mrs. Preeti Goel, who explained the creative use of waste materials in a very interesting and simple manner. She encouraged the children to adopt the principle of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.”
After the workshop, students enthusiastically participated and created various innovative items. Subsequently, an exhibition was organized in the school where the items made by the children were displayed. The exhibition showcased the students’ creative abilities and their sensitivity toward the environment.
On this occasion, the school also celebrated World Wetlands Day. Students were informed about the importance of wetlands and their role in maintaining ecological balance. A message was given to fulfill collective responsibility for conserving water resources and protecting nature.
The workshop proved to be an inspiring and informative experience for the students, enhancing their skill development as well as increasing awareness about environmental protection.
