Hoshiarpur: On the auspicious occasion of the upcoming Shrimad Bhagavat Katha—organized by the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Hoshiarpur, at Roshan Ground—a grand and divine *Kalash Yatra* (sacred pot procession) was organized. This procession was held to mark the commencement of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha, which is scheduled to take place daily from April 14 to April 20, between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The discourse will be delivered by *Bhagavat Bhaskar* Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, a disciple of Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The *Kalash Yatra* was formally inaugurated by Pandit Indresh Sharma Ji amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras and traditional rituals.
The occasion was graced by the dignified presence of disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji—including Swami Sajjananand Ji, Sadhvi Shankarpreeta Bharti Ji, and Sadhvi Rajwant Bharti Ji—along with other members of the saint community. Swami Sajjananand Ji stated that this *Kalash Yatra* was organized with the objective of seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the city; furthermore, it serves as a medium to convey messages of spiritual awakening, drug de-addiction, and moral resurgence to society.
Following the rituals, the procession was formally flagged off by breaking a coconut and hoisting a ceremonial flag. The procession commenced at Roshan Ground and proceeded through the main thoroughfares of the city. At the forefront of the procession, an attractive chariot of Lord Krishna served as a focal point of attraction for the devotees, while the *Kalashas* (sacred pots) carried upon the heads of women—elegantly adorned in yellow sarees—imbued the atmosphere with a profoundly divine and ethereal aura. The entire environment became steeped in devotion amidst the melodious sounds of the accompanying musical bands. Special tableaux (*Jhankis*) presented during the procession served to raise awareness within society.
Through a balance-based tableau presented by young girls, an inspiring message regarding women's empowerment, self-reliance, and awareness was conveyed; simultaneously, another presentation highlighted the adverse effects of substance abuse, thereby inspiring the youth to embrace a drug-free lifestyle. Along the route of the procession, arrangements for *Prasad* (sacred food offerings) and refreshments were thoughtfully made at various locations for the benefit of the devotees. The volunteers of the institute paid special attention to the cleanliness and organization of the procession route—an effort that was appreciated by all. The grandeur and spiritual aura of the *Kalash Yatra* (sacred pot procession) were such that, upon hearing its echoes, the townspeople spontaneously stepped out of their homes to join this pious journey. Finally, the *Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapurana* was ceremoniously installed at the discourse venue, bringing the *Kalash Yatra* to a conclusion. Following the program, all devotees partook of the *Langar Prasad* (community meal) with great affection. This event emerged as a magnificent confluence of faith, devotion, social unity, drug-de addiction awareness, and women's empowerment.
