Karnal, July 30: On the auspicious occasion of the month of Sawan, a seven-day *Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha* (narrative discourse) commenced on Wednesday at the Shri Ganesh Temple in Narsi Village, Sector-32, amidst deep reverence, devotion, and the chanting of Vedic mantras. Narrator Pandit Ravi Shastri Ji (Vrindavan Dham) has arrived to deliver the divine nectar of the *Shri Shiv Mahapuran* discourse.
On the first day of the event, a large number of devotees gathered to worship Lord Bholenath and experienced spiritual bliss while listening to the *Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha*.
Speakers remarked that the *Shri Shiv Mahapuran* is not merely a religious text but a source of divine wisdom that inspires one to lead a life guided by truth, righteousness (*Dharma*), service, compassion, self-restraint, and devotion. Listening to it with faith brings peace of mind, inner strength, and positive energy. According to religious beliefs, listening to the *Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha* during the month of Sawan is considered especially meritorious; it invokes the grace of Lord Shiva and fosters happiness, prosperity, good health, and an auspicious atmosphere within the family.
Office-bearers of the temple committee stated that this sacred discourse will be held daily from July 30 to August 5, 2026. The sessions will take place every day from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
