Hisar: On the fourth day of Chaitra Navratri, worship rituals and *kirtan* (devotional singing) dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda were performed at the Shri Prayag Giri Shivale Trust, under the leadership of Bajrang Garg, the President of the Shivale Temple. During the event, women sang auspicious songs, and a large number of devotees participated with great fervor. Bajrang Garg, President of the Shivale Trust, announced that a grand *bhajan* ceremony would be organized at the Shivale Temple on March 23rd, held specifically for the *Chowki* (divine vigil) of Goddess Durga. Mr. Garg stated that Goddess Kushmanda is the eight-armed (*Ashtabhuja*) deity who created the universe through her gentle smile. She is the Goddess of energy, health, and prosperity.
Goddess Kushmanda dispels the darkness from our lives and infuses them with positivity. On this day, offering yellow-colored garments and flowers is considered highly auspicious. According to mythological beliefs, at a time when darkness prevailed everywhere, the Goddess created the cosmos with her faint smile; hence, she is revered as the "Primal Form of Creation" (*Srishti ki Adiswarupa*). Goddess Kushmanda's hands are adorned with a prayer rosary (*Japamala*), a bow, arrows, a lotus flower, a pot of nectar (*Amrit Kalash*), a discus (*Chakra*), and a mace (*Gada*). She resides within the Sun, a dwelling that endows her with boundless energy.
Bajrang Garg emphasized that the worship of Goddess Kushmanda not only dispels the darkness of sorrow from our lives but also bestows upon us good health, fame, and strength. Mr. Garg further added that offering prayers to Goddess Kushmanda removes diseases and afflictions from the lives of devotees, granting them the boon of robust health and well-being. On this occasion, devotees including Narayan Das Bansal, Surendra Singla, Praveen Jain, Kailash Chaudhary, Om Prakash Asija, Ramesh Patwari, Shivlal Madan, Madhusudan, Deepak Chawla, Harish Sehra, Jasram Verma, Sunil Sharma, Dalbir Singh, Bharat Chopra, Mukesh Meharia, Gauri Shankar, Mrs. Anita Garg, Pooja Sharma, Kavita Rani, Sonia Sharma, Lalita Sharma, Neetu Garg, Raj Rani, and Renu Singh were present in large numbers.
